Planning go ahead for riverside scheme in Wandsworth
Our contemporary mixed-use residential scheme located alongside the River Thames has achieved planning permission.
The new development, located to the south of Osiers Road, will provide 85 contemporary new homes along with an element of commercial space on what is currently a redundant car park.
Four equally sized commercial units have been designed to provide an opportunity for smaller occupiers to take up space within the Borough and inject life into the local neighbourhood. These units will front onto a piazza and a pocket park that will be open to the public.
In addition to this pocket park, the public realm consists of a new pavement along the south side of Osiers Road, which was particularly well received during the public consultation by parents of young children who are currently unable to walk on this side of the road. The depth of paving serves as a safe route along Osiers Road with spaces in between the buildings designed to provide a break along the elevation.
This integrated development will contribute to the regeneration of the area and add vitality to the riverside quarter.
Work is due to start on site in summer 2015.
