Assael are pleased to announce multiple internal promotions to kick-start 2025!
To kick-off a brilliant start to the new year, we are delighted to announce several new promotions: Bob Davis to Associate Landscape Architect, Hannah Brownlie to Marketing Manager, Erin Maloney-Cox to Business Development and Bid Manager, Kate Yung to Urban Designer, Peyton Fleming to Communications Coordinator, as well as the promotion of Alice Howland and Katherine Birkett to Senior Architects.
Since joining Assael last year, Bob has made significant contributions to our Exteriors division, and in recognition for his hard work and dedication, he has been promoted to Associate Landscape Architect. With over ten years of prior experience, Bob’s expertise contributed to him leading the detailed design of High Street Woking, the first co-living development in Woking which will deliver 329 sustainable homes. Additionally, he led the design implementation of the Greggs Bakery site in Twickenham and the Colin Road scheme in Willesden. Bob’s promotion was an easy decision for the practice, and we are excited to see what he will accomplish in the years to come.
Hannah began her journey with Assael in 2014. Over the years, she has coordinated research into new business sectors and services, with a particular focus on Later Living and off-site construction. After returning from maternity leave in 2024, Hannah took charge in driving strategic marketing objectives, including attendance at industry events, overseeing press opportunities, and managing the creation and distribution of marketing collateral across all communication channels. Hannah continues to be a valuable asset to the practice, and we are thrilled to promote her to the position of Marketing Manager.
Erin joined Assael in 2021 as a project administrator, assisting with document control, design reports, and planning submissions. Her recent promotion to Business Development and Bid Manager reflects her key role in compiling submissions for bids and competitions across the UK and overseas alongside coordinating key marketing events, and managing business development tasks. Promoting Erin was a natural decision, given the significant value her skills and contributions have brought over the years.
Kate has been a valuable member of the Assael team since 2015, starting in an administrative role before transitioning to Practice Illustrator, where she delivered artist impressions of early-stage design developments. Last year, she obtained her master’s degree in urban design from the University of Westminster, which has naturally led to her promotion to Urban Designer. Since completing her studies, Kate has been working alongside one of the planning teams on our projects in Bahrain, with opportunity to work closely with our exteriors division in the future. We couldn’t be prouder of Kate’s dedication and hard work over the years, and we are excited to see the impact she will continue to make on our future projects.
Peyton joined Assael in 2023 as our Front of House Coordinator, where she played a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the practice. Her responsibilities included managing internal and external meetings, maintaining office supplies, organising CPD presentations and coordinating weekly interpersonal training activities for staff. In October 2024, Peyton was promoted to Communications Coordinator, becoming a valuable member of the marketing team. In her new role, she creates engaging content for press releases, award submissions, website articles and social media. We are excited to see Peyton thrive in her new position and look forward to her continued contributions to Assael’s success.
Alice first joined Assael in 2016 as a student, returning in 2021 after completing her Part II studies and became a chartered architect in 2022. Since then, she has be instrumental in several large-scale projects, including securing planning consent for the former Boddington’s Brewery Site in Manchester, delivering 505 new homes, and Eynsham Drive in Abbey Wood. More recently, Alice has taken the lead on a 460-home Build-to-Rent scheme in Southall London, and the residentially-led mixed-use scheme in Digbeth, providing 483 new homes. Alice’s drive and dedication to her projects have been evident throughout her time at Assael, making her promotion to Senior Architect a natural and well-deserved decision.
Katherine joined Assael in 2017 and became a chartered architect in 2022 in the first cohort of architectural apprentices. She has contributed to numerous key projects, including Brunswick Place, a 100% affordable mixed-use residential development, which she guided from the pre-planning stage, through construction and on to practical completion. The scheme was nominated for a Brent design award in 2023 and since then she has worked on the planning design for another affordable housing development in Brent. Beyond her project work, Katherine has demonstrated a passion for advancing research into later living developments, helping to integrate these concepts into future schemes at Assael and continues to advocate for apprenticeships through her role as the practices’ Apprenticeship Ambassador. Promoting Katherine to Senior Architect was an obvious decision, and we are thrilled to have her excel in this new role.
