Assael’s Riverside Studios shortlisted for the NLA Awards
Riverside Studios in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham has been shortlisted for the Mixed-use Category at the New London Awards 2015.
Queens Wharf, an existing vacant four storey building, and the Riverside Studio building, formerly used as a recording studio and cinema, are being redeveloped into a state-of-the art media centre and high quality residential accommodation.
The mixed-use scheme comprises new TV studios, a cinema, restaurants and cafes along with 165 one, two and three bedroom apartments. It also provides underground parking and cycle storage located at basement level along with a number of intimate landscaped areas for residents and visitors.
The scheme has been designed to achieve a BREEAM ‘very good’ rating and meet the equivalent of Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4.
The Mixed-use New London Award for which this project has been shortlisted recognises small-to-medium-sized developments with a complementary mix of uses, designed holistically to meet the needs of a number of different activities and users. The awards are currently in their fifth year and are the only London-wide awards for built and unbuilt projects across all sectors of the built environment.
The winners will be announced at the exclusive NLA Annual Lunch event to be held at the Guildhall on 7 July 2015.
